piano and music related topics. Read for more info (about piano tv).
How can I use Piano TV?
If you are a web visitor browsing the internet, you can use Piano TV to get
information about a broad range of topics pertaining to pianos through the
videos or from the supplemental copy and content accompanying the videos.
On the other hand, if you are a pianist, tuner, piano dealer, business or
musician, you can use the site to promote yourself through video or your info
commercials and our free video hosting. Furthermore, because Piano TV is a video
sharing site, your video will be (as long as you agree) available to other sites
that might want it to be part of your site.
What do you mean by video hosting?
If you have a video that you want viewed by people, you have to find a way for that to happen. For a few friends, you can shoot a video, burn it onto a DVD, and put it into your player in your living room. For most, having your video seen on television is out of reach. On the internet, you can put your video on your website and the people who visit your site may view it. But what do you do if you want a broader number of people seeing your video?
Nowadays, numerous sites on the internet will take your video and place them on their sites to be seen by their viewers. The advantage of that is some of these sites have so many visitors that your videos can potentially gain a certain degree of prominence by simply allowing another site to host your video.
Why would I want to host my video?
You would want to host your video to get it out there and viewed by a broader, interested (select) audience. You would host your video to sell yourself, your products, your artistry, your brand, etc.
What is video sharing?
A video sharing site is a site that provides web space for your video. By uploading your video to a sharing site, you usually have to adhere to a set of guidelines that protect you, the host and the views. These guidelines include copyright, content, your video theme and anything that the host requires.
What is the purpose of a video sharing site?
- To help you market your videos on and off the internet.
- Most video sites will give their users access to post your video on
their sites by enabling access to the embed code of your video.
- The site will host your video because it contains useful content
relating to the general theme of the site.

Why would I want to host my videos on Piano TV?
There are a number of good reasons. Piano TV is a site that is totally dedicated to anything
and everything that has to do with pianos and music.
Other colossal web sites like U Tube has content about everything and anything including dirty laundry and automobile
carburetors.
Since Piano TV is and always will be a much smaller site, our focus will always be much more targeted on the specifics and nuances
of what we think makes the piano niche a very special domain of interest for the
public. Furthermore, Piano TV is dedicated to providing auxiliary resources for
our video contributors and advertising sponsors to facilitate the process of
creating videos as seamless and spontaneous as possible.
How do I upload my video to Piano TV?
Once you have your video file on the hard drive of your computer you can
effortlessly upload it from your hard
drive to Piano TV. If you haven't signed in to Piano TV yet, you will be
asked to sign in first. You can find a
form at the bottom of the same page that will walk you through the sign in
process. The sign in process enables us to filter out unwanted spammers from our
system and to protect your privacy.
What are some useful features of Piano TV?
We'll go over a few basic features and functions that you see on many of the video pages.
If you look at
this screen shot, we will start just under the video and go counter
clockwise. There is the Embed Video,
Link to This Page,
Creative Commons
License, Upload Your Video Button and to the left there is the
Expandable Menu
that says "Site Key", "Piano Biz", "Music Videos" and "Educational Clips."
The embed video is the html that is coded directly into the page without
which there would be no video. Piano TV is set up as are many Video Sharing
Sites to facilitate the "sharing" of that code for the web visitor so that
he or she can essentially "walk away" with that code.
Why would you want
to do that? Piano TV makes getting the embed video code easy. Just
place (left click) your cursor over the code then right click and scroll
down to copy and where you left click. You now have to paste the code into
either an html page, or an editor of some kind. We recommend notepad or some
kind of very basic editor that does not embellish the code in any fashion.
If you are a blogger or a social website user, you should know what all this
means. We are working on creating some videos that can help the beginner
gain a better understanding of all of this.
- Link to this page works the same way
except it is there for people who want to link to the exact page that the
code and the video is on.
- The Creative Commons License is
basic license that we suggest our users use for sharing their videos on
Piano TV and the internet. It does not supplant basic copyrighting concerns
but it is for Piano TV users to clarify the extent of sharing that you want
in place once the video is available online.
- By clicking on the Upload your Video
button, you are taken to the login and sign up page.
- The box menu to the left is and
expandable menu that contains many of the vital navigation links for the
site in a different format.
